March Sway

How the Dragon was Made

P4-7 performed ‘How the Dragon was Made’ to their families, as well as their Moffat and Beattock peers, on Monday. This Scottish Opera assembly incorporated words in Mandarin so the pupils did really well learning new vocabulary.

We also welcomed our families into class for a family learning event. This allowed us to share our work on Chinese New Year and our learning of Mandarin.

Rugby Taster

Cammy and Kelly from the Moffat Rams came and gave P1-3 a rugby taster session last term. The children had a lot of fun playing different games and developing their rugby skills. There is an after school rugby session every Tuesday. If your child would like to attend please contact Calum Graham from Active Schools to book in Calum.graham@dumgal.gov.uk

Thanks Cammy and Kelly!

Mr Jeff Brown Visit

P1-3 were delighted to welcome Mr Brown into their class last week to ask him questions about what school was like when he was a boy and how schools have changed over the years. Mr Brown was the head teacher at Moffat Academy for many years and shared lots of stories about his time in school. He brought toys, photographs and flashcards for us to see and had us up singing, dancing and playing games! It was a lovely morning and we hope that he will come and visit us again soon. Thank you Mr Brown!
