Scholastic Book Fair
We had a great time at the book fair and raised £120 for Scholastic Books for Beattock Primary and Nursery! Thank you to everyone who supported the event.

Scooting fun!
The upper class had fun with Briony form I-Bike using Moffat Primary's new scooter road markings. The children learned how to scoot using both legs, how to jump stop and how to navigate traffic lights and roundabouts. Everyone had great fun.

Outdoor Maths P1-P3
Our infant class enjoyed a visit from Simon from Dumfries and Galloway Council to explore Mathematics in nature. The children enjoyed using pine cones, stones, sticks and leaves to measure, weigh and create shapes.

Bodyworks Science Day with Glasgow Science Centre
The Primary classes had a fantastic day with the team from Glasgow Science Centre. The infant class explored the human body and the important jobs our vital organs do. The upper class explored the digestive system in a rather messy 'hands on' experimental show. The afternoon was spent investigating a wide range of resources including finding out how we will look when we are old, the damage smoking does to our lungs as well as exploring our DNA. The photographs show just how much fun we had!
