Christmas Fun Day

We have a special event coming up that our seniors are organising in collaboration with Moffat Town Hall to raise funds for a pilot scheme that, if successful, will be rolled out to the whole of Dumfries and Galloway Schools.

S6 pupils at Moffat Academy opted to be one of the very first schools in Scotland to complete The D Word course with local celebrant, Aileen Palmer. The D Word resource is designed to be delivered to groups of any age and stage who would benefit from being supported to become more familiar with what to expect when someone close dies. The course also explores how to support one another through bereavement.

The fun day will provide entertainment and prizes whilst raising funds for the project. Please could we ask for any donations to be handed into either Moffat Town Hall or Moffat Academy. The event has already been well supported by the Moffat Community Shop.

The day will require £1 and 50p coins to enjoy the stalls on show and will include:
