Goodbye Mr Douglas
After nearly 22 years service at Moffat Academy, Mr Douglas was given a Guard of Honour by pupils and staff as he left the building for the last time today, 31st October. We wish Mr Douglas all the best in his retirement and he will be much missed in our school.
Mr Douglas was a central character in the sporting life of the school. A star performer in Moffat's games against Lanark Rams in days of yore, and now a formidable presence in the Tuesday night staff v pupils games. Mr Douglas may be finally hanging up his boots but his supportive shouts of encouragement to teammates over the years will still echo across the playing fields of Moffat Academy.

To mark Mr Douglas retiring from Moffat Academy the staff organised a tournament against a team of current pupils and a team of former pupil. We wish Mr Douglas all the very best for his retirement.
