LGBT Gold Charter

We are so pleased to share that we have now achieved the LGBT Charter Gold Award with LGBT Youth Scotland! Well done to all involved, especially Mrs Ayling and her pupil team who have worked incredibly hard on this project.

A summary from the LGBT Charter Portfolio Review:

Moffat Academy have demonstrated a clear dedication to the inclusion of their LGBTQ+

school community. The school have introduced a clear LGBTQ+ Policy which aims to

support young people in the school and provide clear guidance to staff. Moffat Academy

have celebrated several commemorative events including school Pride events that show

strong pupil involvement. The school have shown dedication when it comes to ensuring

LGBTQ+ pupils have a voice and that staff are appropriately trained to support LGBTQ+

learners. Overall we are thrilled to announce that Moffat Academy has been accredited

the Gold LGBT Charter.
