New Farm Trip

On Monday, P3 enjoyed a trip to Newfarm - Applegarth Jerseys; it was full of amazing experiences - from learning about Jersey cows and milking, to climbing into the tractor, meeting the calves, and even saying hello to Boo the horse.
A huge thank you to Andrew and Suzanne Jardine for welcoming P3 so warmly, and to Kris and Joanne from RHET Dumfries & Galloway Countryside Initiative for helping make it all happen. The children had the best time and learned so much!

Introducing Our Pupil Council & Responsibility Groups

Last term we launched our Pupil Council and Responsibility Groups! Each Thursday, learners will come together to take part in one of our committees, working on projects that will make a real difference in our school and community.

Our groups include:
🌍 Eco Committee
🧡 Rights Respecting Steering Group
🏫 Playground Improvements
🔬 STEM
🌐 Languages
💚 Green Fingers
💻 Digital Leaders
💡 Charity & Fundraising

These groups will meet fortnightly this term, and learners will take forward ideas, make decisions, and share their progress with the whole school.

We’re looking forward to seeing their creativity, responsibility and teamwork in action – and we’ll keep you updated on what they achieve as the year goes on!
