Secondary Classics Competition
Some of our Classical Studies students participated in the University of Glasgow's National Gilbert Murray Essay competition - the first time Moffat Academy has been represented in this. Some submitted intricate comic strips detailing the tale of Pandora's Jar, some submitted a letter chronicling a citizen's experience of travelling to Ancient Rome for the first time, and some provided an overview and evaluation of Heracles' labours. All of our students did brilliantly, being given certificates of merit and participation. However, one student came first in the National S1-2 competition: Wilfie Porteous. He won an Amazon gift voucher gifted by the University of Glasgow for his efforts!
