• Monday 12 September 2022 Moffat Primary P3/4 Hot Air Balloons, 2022/23 - Term 1 P3/4 have created a fantastic display of hot air balloons outside of their classroom!
• Tuesday 6 September 2022 Community Open Evening, 2022/23 - Term 1 We were delighted to open our school cluster on Monday 5th September to our parents, carers, young people, and local community at our first annual Moffat Academy Community Open Evening. The campus was a hive of activity throughout the event which was well supported by our community partners - 59 in total which was incredible! On offer were prefect led tours of the school - all nursery, primary and secondary learning and teaching areas - our senior students did a brilliant job of meeting, greeting, and facilitating these activities, thank you so much to a great group of young people. In addition, we had a community partner fair set up in the assembly hall, dance studio and dining areas. We were pleased to be able to offer our visitors complimentary refreshments which were generously sponsored by Littles the Bakers, Marchbank Bakers, the Moffat Co-op, and the Spar at the Colvin Filling Station - this would not have been possible without them, and we are incredibly grateful for their supp

• Wednesday 24 August 2022 Secondary Senior Induction Talk with Leah Woods, 2021/22 -Term 4 Senior pupils participated in many activities during their induction week in June. Mrs Woods' daughter, Leah Woods very kindly came into school to conduct a talk about her experiences of her first year of Uni at St Andrews.

• Wednesday 24 August 2022 Moffat Primary 2/3 Visit to Moat Brae, 2021/22 -Term 4 P2/3 enjoyed a fantastic day out to Moat Brae in Dumfries in Term 4 as part of their 'Pirates' topic.
• Wednesday 24 August 2022 Moffat Primary 6 Open Afternoon, 2021/22 -Term 4 Parents visited the P6 classroom in Term 4 and had a great time being shown lots of work and activities by the P6 pupils.
• Wednesday 24 August 2022 Moffat Primary Health Week, 2021/22 -Term 4 Moffat Primary recently held their annual Health Week and Sports Day. Great fun was had by all. The children and teachers participated in a wide range of activities ranging from bushcraft skills where Primary 6 and 7 crafted some wonderful stools to dance and relaxation. Many new skills were learned and the children thrived on the opportunity to try new activities. A huge thank you must go to the children for their enthusiasm and to those within the local community who have continued to support our annual event by giving up their free time to deliver sessions to the children. A thank you also goes to the Parent Connect for their kind donation of funds towards our visit from the ice-cream van.
• Tuesday 23 August 2022 Beattock and Moffat Primary P6 Trip to Dumfries House, 2021/22 -Term 4 P6 enjoyed a trip to Dumfries House in term 3 - a great day was had by all!
• Tuesday 23 August 2022 Beattock and Moffat Loch Ken S1 Transition Activities , 2021/22 -Term 4 P7/S1 Pupils enjoyed a few days activities at Loch Ken. They took part in paddleboarding, slip n' slide, archery, climbing and laser tag. A great time was had by all.

• Sunday 3 July 2022 Moffat Primary, Voucher Awarded to our P7s, 2021/22 -Term 4 The Annandale & Nithsdale Community Benefit Company (ANCBC) is delighted to support the Primary Sevens of Moffat and Beattock, as they take this important next step in their journey through education. We wish them every success in whatever lies ahead and we hope that this voucher will make a difference to their learning, even in a small way. This award is given as a commemoration of the work of Martin Brown with the communities of Moffat and Beattock. Martin was Chair of ANCBC between 2014 and 2021.
• Sunday 3 July 2022 Secondary End of Term Quiz, 2021/22 -Term 4 A massive well done to our new S6 pupils for arranging their first event. Everyone had a great time and it was a fantastic afternoon to finish off the year.
• Sunday 3 July 2022 Moffat Primary, P7 Graduation Party, 2021/22 -Term 4 P7 held their Graduation party at Moffat Town Hall on Wednesday 29th June. Thank you to Moffat Academy staff, The Moffat Town Hall team and Moffat Academy seniors for a great event.
• Sunday 3 July 2022 Moffat Nursery Graduation, 2021/22 -Term 4 Nursery invited their parents and carers along to watch their Nursery Graduation on Thursday 30th July. A lovely ceremony was held followed by a great party with bouncy castles and face painting!

• Sunday 3 July 2022 Moffat Primary Moving up Day, 2021/22 -Term 4 Moffat Primary pupils enjoyed trying out their new classes on Tuesday 28th June.
• Wednesday 29 June 2022 Moffat Primary Talent Show, 2021/22 -Term 4 Moffat Primary held their Talent Show on Thursday 29th June. Well done to Elsie Dickinson who took first place with her fantastic highland dancing and to all other winners, congratulations!
• Wednesday 29 June 2022 Moffat Primary P7 Graduation, 2021/22 -Term 4 P7 held their graduation event on Wednesday 28th June following a 'Guard of Honour' from parents, carers and pupils.
• Monday 20 June 2022 Moffat and Beattock CSI Transition Activity, 2021/22 -Term 4 Primary 7 students thoroughly enjoyed their Science lessons during the transition week to Moffat Academy. The students became crime scene investigators using their observational skills and carrying out practical experiments to solve the murder!

• Tuesday 14 June 2022 Moffat Primary Sports Day, 2021/22 Term 4 At the second attempt Moffat Primary sports took place on Thursday 9th June. Our Commonwealth Games themed sports got off to a busy start in the morning with our potted sports then to round off a busy day the children competed in the traditional sports day races. Team Jamaica came out on top taking the top country award. Fred Kershaw and Neave Beveridge are the 2022 Sports Champions. All the children demonstrated great team spirit, effort and resilience. Well done everyone.

• Tuesday 31 May 2022 Equalities Book Donation, 2021/22 - Term 4 Moffat Academy received a very kind donation to buy some equalities books from the shop 'Category is Books' in Glasgow. Pictured are our current Equalities Group displaying the books chosen.
• Tuesday 31 May 2022 Success for Logan! 2021/22 - Term 4 Logan Reid S3won the Best Netminder Award 2021-2022 at Solway Sharks Junior Ice Hockey Club and received honours for representing Scotland at u15s this year. In addition, he was selected for the Great Britain Goalie Development Programme. Congratulations from all at Moffat Academy.
• Friday 27 May 2022 Moffat Primary Jubilee Event, 2021/22 - Term 4 Moffat Academy Primary held their Jubilee celebration today and enjoyed dressing up, games, activities, a big picnic and they even had a visit from Neil's Ice Cream Van! Thank you to the Parent Connect for the contribution towards ice cream and a huge thank you to Miss Rae for organising the event.

• Thursday 26 May 2022 Moffat Nursery Station Park Flower Bed, 2021/22 - Term 4 The nursery have been busy planting up the flower bed near the play area at Station Park. The plants were kindly donated by Moffat Garden Centre. We can’t wait to watch the flowers bloom in the summer.
• Thursday 26 May 2022 P2/3 Open Afternoon, 2021/22 - Term 4 P2/3 held an open afternoon on Wednesday 25thMayfor parents and carers. Their class project is "Famous Queens". The children worked together with their parents/carers to create crafts for the whole school Jubilee celebration on Friday. It was a very fun and busy afternoon. Thank you to the parents/carers for taking time to come and visit their child's learning environment.
